A garage conversion will make use of what is usually wasted space. Here, the garage is being converted into a study/home office. The front portion of the garage has been partitioned off to leave room for a small utility room.
The study floor has been raised and insulated. All outside and party walls have been insulated with efficient high density foil backed insulation boards. The boiler has been enclosed with thought given to maintenance. Boiler panels can readily be accessed and removed if required. Two sliding doors have been fitted to maximise floor space, and allow for easy removal if required. Doors have been custom built.
The study was complete with radiator, electrics and spot lamps over the desk area. The dual spots have been wired to enable either one or both spots to be switched on. Two double 13A sockets specifically for computer use are installed, with an isolation switch fitted above desk level to ensure computer, printer and peripherals are isolated easily when required. A nearby double socket is also supplied for phones and other items that you would not want to isolate with the computer.
